"Separately, the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee said in the minutes of its June meeting that it saw “tentative signs” of an easing in household spending and the housing market, which could lead to a sharper slowdown given high levels of household debt.
The minutes showed that the MPC voted 5-4 to hold rates this month, cementing expectations of a further rate increase this summer."
